Welcome

In 1979, a 22 years village youth was driven by the inspiring exhortation of other local people, survive from natural disaster at  Sundarban. Their selfless service to those in suffering and make one’s life one with them inspired the young man to start “Digambarpur Angikar” with a focus to serve the poor and marginalised. In the same year Digambarpur Angikar got registration as a non-profit, non-government organization with a view to undertake relief, rehabilitation and empowering the underprivileged & vulnerable section of the society.

After 42 years steady service for the mankind, the time proves once again that Digambarpur Angikar has plays significant contribution in the sector of Child Protection [Institutional & Non Institutional], Education, Women Empowerment, Community Health, Livelihood Development, Youth Organization, Disaster Risk Mitigation, Water & Sanitation and Solid Waste Management in costal backward region of South and North 24 Parganas Districts and 18 Municipalities of West Bengal. We have achieved remarkable satisfaction to serve the vulnerable children, adolescent and women, tribal, migrant and urban population during our journey.

We are lucky to get immense support of generous public, corporate sectors, Government Departments, Private and Foreign donor agencies to enrich our motto for the welfare of underprivileged section people in our society.

We expect all of yours valuable suggestions, cooperation and guidance to improve the quality of life of the needy and marginalised  people in the coming days.

Thanking you,
Mr. Swapan Kumar Mandal
